Hygienically safe and highly resistant: StoFloor Food KU 601 for brewery in Győr

Chemically and mechanically highly durable, designed to meet the highest hygienic standards: These requirements apply in the food industry down to the floor. In a teaching and demonstration brewery, it also needs to look good. This can be easily achieved with the floor system StoFloor Food KU 601 (StoCretec), as demonstrated by the example of the Apátúr in Győr.

Reviving brewing tradition: With the teaching and demonstration brewery of the Apátúr Brewery, a new brewing facility was established right in Győr, bringing traditional craftsmanship back to life with the production of Pilsner, Búza, New England IPA, and Barna Ale. The project is supported by Széchenyi István University and the Benedictines of the Szent Mór Abbey Perjelség – institutions that have a historical connection to brewing tradition.

The new brewery now meets the highest hygienic standards. This also applies to the floor, which must withstand high mechanical and chemical stresses. In food production, floors must be easy to clean and capable of supporting internal traffic without issues. For the new brewery, the Apátúr project team (together with the abbey) chose the certified floor coating system StoFloor Food KU 601 from StoCretec. It is characterized by its good resistance to media that may be encountered during brewing, as well as cleaning agents. Its surface can be cleaned and decontaminated optimally.

StoFloor Food KU 601 is FDA-approved and holds CSM qualification for use in cleanrooms. The mechanically highly resistant coating allows for operation with full rubber, Vulkollan, and polyamide tires. As a finished coating, the system achieves slip resistance classes R11 or R12. This provides safety with StoFloor Food KU 601, which is especially important during regular visits by students and guests to the teaching brewery.

The coating also impresses visually. StoPox KU 601 can be tinted in numerous RAL colors, and thanks to its good gradation and ventilation properties, it creates a homogeneous, high-quality surface. In Győr, it is a warm, earthy beige tone.
