The vertical high-speed rolling door "Easy-Clean" from EFAFLEX received the recommendation from the Federal Association of Food Inspectors

When doors are used in the food industry, they must meet the highest hygienic standards. The EFAFLEX high-speed rolling door EFA-SRT®-EC has recently received its recommendation from the Federal Association of Food Inspectors (BVLK).

The certification was preceded by an extensive technical examination of a door model tested under realistic environmental conditions. The BVLK justifies its recommendation with product features that are implemented in detail and are absolutely necessary for use in the food industry. Special emphasis was placed on the specific technological precautions, which are of utmost priority when handling especially with open, i.e., unpackaged, foods.

In wet and hygienic areas, the EFAFLEX high-speed rolling door SRT®-EC fully complies with the strict guidelines of the food industry. The abbreviation EC stands for "easy clean," indicating easy and quick access to surfaces and components that require frequent thorough cleaning. The side panels are equipped with U-shaped covers at the front, which are fully removable to allow thorough cleaning or disinfection of all internal components at any time. Above the baseplate, the side panels also feature outlet openings to allow controlled drainage of any liquids introduced. Even for permanently damp or wet floors, there is a clever precaution against rot, mold, etc.: all lower attachment points, such as bearings, deflection rollers, mounts for the floor seal profile, and the contact strip, are constructed to be "higher" to prevent moisture accumulation.

The result is always hygienically clean and, above all, dry hollow spaces. Equally practical is the cover of the roll-up shaft, which is designed to be easily lifted upwards for cleaning. It is constructed with a collecting profile that slopes downward on each side, effectively directing any liquid splashes from the door curtain away over the side panels during movement. This prevents any adhering substances from dripping onto the floor or even onto the food below.

For daily multiple frontal attacks with aggressive substances from various cleaning and disinfecting agents, EC doors are standardly protected by the entire door construction made of stainless steel, optionally V2A corrosion-resistant brushed or, upon customer request, V4A corrosion- and acid-resistant unbrushed. The electrical and electronic components are housed in a V2A (IP 65) control cabinet. The elastic curtain complies with HACCP requirements.

The certificate summarizes for the sampled SRT-EC: " ...When used properly, the requirements of the Food Regulation, especially in the area of basic hygiene, are optimally met...". This recommendation was issued as part of a corresponding certificate, allowing the BVLK seal to be used on the relevant products, in accompanying documentation, and in advertising brochures.
