With the help of a total of eight component manufacturers for the cleanliness laboratory, a complete cleanliness laboratory including an entire process chain was presented for the first time. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) The PUROS Science lock transport cart from Kögel safely transports the parts to be tested into the cleanliness laboratory. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) In the Glass Cabinet of Gläser GmbH, the particles are extracted from the components and then the filter membrane is dried in the Gläser EasyDry in just 7 minutes. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) Very small particles are detected using the optical liquid-particle counter. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) For particle sizes of 25 µm and larger, the previously used filter is dried in the drying oven of the company Binder and brought to the specified humidity in the so-called desiccator. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) For the assessment of the particle quantity, the filter is finally weighed on a precision balance from Sartorius. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) Using a microscope from Jomesa, particle type, size, and quantity are detected and automatically analyzed, followed by documentation by CleanControlling. During the final packaging of endoscopic instruments, special attention must be paid to particle cleanliness. To be able to carry out this step in-house in the future, medwork GmbH set up a cleanroom facility in 2014. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) The instruments must be packaged and sealed under cleanroom conditions according to GMP Class C. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) The 16.90 x 16.88 m facility commissioned at Nerling is located in a newly constructed hall and includes, in addition to the actual cleanroom, a total of six airlocks. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) Since Medwork considered a separate lock system for employees and materials to be particularly important, there are two locks each for personnel, material entry, and exit. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) Since Medwork considered a separate lock system for employees and materials particularly important, there are two locks each for personnel, material entry, and exit. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) A backflow zone formed between the cleanroom wall and the building shell, which also serves as maintenance access to the window facade. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) To ensure a flawlessly functioning process, Nerling medwork also supported the positioning of boxes and roll containers. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) The instruments stored in boxes are transported via an elevator from the manufacturing area to the new cleanroom. Before being introduced, they undergo a cleaning process. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) In the room itself, the employees perform a final wipe disinfection of the product and spiral it into a bundle, which is then inserted into the sterilization packaging. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) The goods are then welded or sealed, labeled, inspected, and then released again. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) Before the final processing step – sterilization – the re-packaging takes place, during which an instruction manual is included, the entire package is sealed, and it is labeled again. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) The installation is visible from the training room next door. According to the color concept of medwork, all window frames and doors were designed in the company's color RAL 9007. (Source: Nerling Systemräume GmbH) In the cleanroom, separate particle monitoring is carried out to meet the requirements of the OE area and to ensure operational safety. One of the two particle counters is installed on a column directly in the center of the room.
