Anuga FoodTec 2024: Process Safety with Detectable Control Components from KIPP

So that only what should be inside is inside

The visually or metal-detectable control and operating parts from HEINRICH KIPP WERK support the complex safety concepts of the food industry. Even the smallest fragments of these components can be quickly and reliably detected and removed from the process – thus preventing larger failures and faulty batches. KIPP demonstrates how this works in practice at Anuga FoodTec 2024 in Cologne, using the example of a metal detector from Bizerba, Balingen.

The visually detectable control parts from KIPP are colored ultramarine blue (similar to RAL5002). The background: The color blue is rather unusual in the food sector, making these products easy to identify upon contact with food. Furthermore, the control parts meet increased hygiene requirements. "Our detectable control parts meet all relevant standards and are thus ideally suited for contact with food," explains Samuel Rasch, Product Manager at KIPP. "In addition, we have placed great emphasis on cleaning-optimized geometries – an example of this is our cross handle with a closed grip contour and smooth surface."

Taking a step further are the metal-detectable control parts from the KIPP portfolio. Their components can be detected using induction technology. If fragments or complete components enter the process, specialized detection systems can reliably separate foreign objects – even if they are invisible to the naked eye. Fragments as small as 0.027 cm³ (approximately 3x3x3 mm) can be detected and removed, so larger quantities of production do not need to be discarded.

All detectable control parts from KIPP are made from EU10/2011- and FDA-compliant, glass-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics, with insert parts made from stainless steel 1.4404. The maximum operating temperature is 120°C. Available are both bar, wing, star, and cross handles, as well as flange knobs and clamping levers.
