Piepenbrocker wins the Federal Performance Competition of the Building Cleaning Guild

On November 9, 2017, the Federal Skills Competition of the Building Cleaning Guild took place at the Mannheimer Technoseum. Piepenbrock employee Jonas Vetter secured the victory and is thus the best journeyman of his year nationwide. In various practical tasks, the 22-year-old demonstrated his professional knowledge in building cleaning.

He received the award, endowed with 2,500 euros, from Horst Stippschild, an honorary member of the Federal Guild Association. Vetter reported that he was happy and proud afterward. The trained building cleaner had completed his apprenticeship as the best graduate of his year across all of Rhineland-Palatinate. At the Technoseum, he now also shone with his expertise at the national level and masterfully solved the assigned tasks. Horst Keen, head of Technical Management at Piepenbrock, congratulated Vetter on behalf of the entire company. "He delivered a truly outstanding performance," Keen said about Vetter's achievement.

Special Trainee Program

Since September, Jonas Vetter has been employed at Piepenbrock as a trainee in Technical Management, where he oversees the implementation of new contracts. He came to the building service provider through contact at the trade fair INservFM. "In discussions with Mr. Vetter, we explained the further training and career opportunities within our company," reports Claudia Schopf, Head of Human Resources Development and Recruiting at the Osnabrück family business. Vetter was convinced and applied—with success. "Entry at Piepenbrock is through a trainee program. This gives Mr. Vetter a broad overview of our services, the requirements in order management, and commercial processes," adds Horst Keen. The goal is to prepare him for a responsible role in Technical Management. On this path, Jonas Vetter is accompanied and supported by his mentor from the specialist department.

The career path of Jonas Vetter is an example of Nachwuchsförderung (young talent development) at Piepenbrock. Claudia Schopf emphasizes that it must be a good fit on both sides: "Jonas Vetter is a highly motivated employee with great personal commitment." He was looking for a company that could further promote him after his apprenticeship. Piepenbrock is exactly looking for such employees. "With our trainee program and the training opportunities of our in-house academy, we are now doing our part to enable him to contribute his performance and continuously improve," Schopf concludes.
