Two product solutions from the command device manufacturer GEORG SCHLEGEL have received the coveted Red Dot label. For "outstanding design," the illuminated emergency stop YPVLOO and the new protective cover SDVA22RRP were awarded.

Two registrations, two Red Dot Awards: this record is extraordinary. Because the coveted quality seal is only awarded to products that demonstrate excellent design, according to Red Dot. "Among the numerous submissions from companies and design studios worldwide, the outstanding quality and design of your products convinced our international jury," states the congratulatory letter from Red Dot to the company.

Aesthetic and functional

"The illuminated emergency stop switch YPVLOO combines functionality and usability with a design that draws a lot of attention to detail," explains the Red Dot jury about the YPVLOO. The new emergency stop combines safety with a simple, strictly geometric design. Thanks to the light beam of the central illumination lens, the switch is easily visible even in poor lighting conditions; the illumination also indicates that the emergency stop is operational.

The emergency stop switch has all relevant approvals and complies with protection classes IP65, IP67, and IP69K. The low installation depth of only 18 mm and flat connectors make YPVLOO versatile. The YPVLOO is prepared for the standard mounting opening of 16.2 mm.

Elegant protection

To protect installation sockets and command devices from liquids and contaminants, SCHLEGEL has developed a protective cover made of corrosion-resistant 1.4404 stainless steel, suitable even for hygienic areas and featuring fine details. The smooth, seamless design is hygienic. The internally located, tear-resistant tab connects the cover to the base, preventing loss without being visible from the outside.

The SDVA22RRP has protection classes IP66 and IP69K, ensuring protection against dust and water, and can withstand high-pressure cleaning. The dimensions of the SDVA22RRP allow for the protection of installation sockets and command devices. "The protective cap SDVA22RRP convincingly combines a purist-elegant appearance with well-thought-out functionality," says the jury's reasoning.

Focus on design quality is a tradition at SCHLEGEL. The command device expert has already received more than 100 design awards. SCHLEGEL has also won the Red Dot Award multiple times.
