Incorrectly labeled medications? – Not with the ESF 60100!

Not only incorrectly filled and improperly sealed vials must be discarded during the production process, but often an incorrectly printed label is also a reason why a properly filled vial can no longer be used. Because if the information on the label is incorrect or not up to date, it can have serious consequences – up to the death of a patient.

An avoidable mistake: The ESF 60100, the labeling machine of the new generation for bottles and vials, is equipped with numerous control stations – so that a misprinted label is not even applied to the bottle or vial.

In addition to very high process safety, the ESF 60100 offers high performance – over 20,000 objects per hour. It is also characterized by great flexibility. On the one hand, regarding the processing range: small 2R vials to large liter bottles can be labeled. On the other hand, in the area of printing systems. The modular label dispenser can accommodate two different printing systems in parallel, enabling marking on various label materials without retooling. Additionally, printing and labeling on top of the FlipCap are possible. Several printing systems are available: hot-stamp batch printers, thermal transfer printers, or laser marking – but the integration of a customer-specific printer is also possible.

The label dispenser guarantees gentle and precise labeling. It also features an intermediate drive to avoid tensions on the label strip that can occur at high speeds, ensuring a consistently perfect printing result. The label dispenser has been developed to be very user-friendly. It is very clear and easy to clean. Switching to other object and label sizes is simple and quick, just like with the other format parts on the machine.

Numerous control stations

Right from the start, the system checks the vials for cap color and fill level, ensuring that only correctly filled and sealed vials enter the labeling process.

Before applying the label, numerous control stations ensure that each label is printed with the correct batch number, coding, etc. – and this at full speed. Faulty labels are removed, unlabeled vials are ejected. These do not need to be discarded like incorrectly labeled objects but can be reintroduced into the labeling process.

The ESF 60100 can also be combined with the proven label splicer ESE9752. This guarantees labeling without downtime through an automated splice process from the depleted to the new label roll. The empty carrier tape is neatly rewound during this process.
