Piepenbrock writes 111 years of company history

Family-run, customer-oriented, and committed: What has been true since the founding year 1913 remains highly valued at Piepenbrock even after more than a century. This year, the Osnabrück-based company group is celebrating its 111th anniversary – with clear focus areas for the future.

"We are exceptionally pleased to be able to look back today on 111 years of exciting company history," emphasize Arnulf and Olaf Piepenbrock as managing partners of the eponymous company group. Both lead the family business with around 26,750 employees in the fourth generation. "This successful era would hardly have been possible without many dedicated Piepenbrock employees and loyal customers." The brothers expressed their gratitude during a speech at the company's own Service Center in Osnabrück for the longstanding connection with employees on site and across Germany.

Reliable and sustainable into the future

Piepenbrock offers its customers a broad range of services that has continuously developed over the past century. Today, the building service provider is active nationwide with 70 branches and 800 locations in the areas of Facility Management, Building Cleaning, Security, Building Technology, and Maintenance. Additionally, customers in the special machine construction and chemical production sectors are served with innovative products. "The anniversary is not only the right time to look back on 111 years of company history; we also want to look forward and show that we are fit for a successful future," emphasizes Arnulf Piepenbrock. Therefore, the company's focus areas for the coming years are already clearly defined. The Piepenbrock Group aims to continue serving its customers reliably in the decades to come. "We want to stand by them dependably and relieve them so they can focus on their core business," says Olaf Piepenbrock. This can only be achieved if a reliable team of motivated employees embodies this attitude. Therefore, the family business continues to invest in qualified personnel. Besides customers, partners, and employees, they are also committed to future generations: "People are at the center of what we do. Our commitment to the social and ecological environment is important to us. We want to fulfill our social responsibility," says Arnulf Piepenbrock. Sustainability has been firmly rooted in the corporate culture since 1990. Reforestation, renewable energies, and fixed environmental goals underline this strategy.

About the history of Piepenbrock

On April 13, 1913, August Etgeton laid the foundation for today's company group by founding a "window cleaning institute" in Osnabrück. Soon, he also cleaned interior spaces in hotels, theaters, and factories. His son-in-law Eduard Piepenbrock joined the company in 1945, followed by his son Hartwig Piepenbrock in 1955. He continued the expansion of the building service provider over decades and established Piepenbrock as a solid part of the German market. In 2001, Arnulf and Olaf Piepenbrock took over the management. They continuously expand the existing business areas and strengthen the commitment to sustainable action – economically, ecologically, and socially.
