Busch at the Parts2Clean 2016
Ideal adapted vacuum solutions for partial drying
The trade fair appearance of Busch at Parts2Clean in Stuttgart attracted great interest. Visitors from several countries gathered at the Busch booth to learn about the latest technical solutions for vacuum generation in industrial cleaning technology. As the highlight of this year's trade fair presentation, Busch showcased its concept consisting of three different vacuum solutions, specifically developed for drying and cleaning technology.
Vacuum is a central element of cleaning and drying technology, ensuring especially quick and efficient drying. Compared to a evaporation process through heat input, vacuum drying is significantly gentler on materials, faster, and more energy-efficient. Vacuum drying is suitable for components with any type of surface, complex or intricate geometries.
In addition to the robustness of the technology used, energy consumption is also a crucial factor in the operation of parts cleaning systems. When retrofitting existing drying systems to vacuum technology, not only is there a significant time saving, but also a clear reduction in operating costs is guaranteed.
To always offer customers an ideally adapted vacuum solution for parts cleaning and drying, Busch presented its concept with three different variants of vacuum technology at Parts2Clean for the first time.
Oil-lubricated rotary screw vacuum technology R 5
The basic model for part drying uses the proven oil-lubricated rotary screw vacuum pump R 5. With its robust construction and operational safety, this vacuum pump has long become an industry standard. The compact R 5 vacuum pumps owe their durability to the proven technology with an internal oil circuit. This ensures a constant vacuum level even under the harshest operating conditions. With an integrated gas ballast valve, vapors can be conveyed without condensation, and the extracted liquid cannot come into contact with the material to be dried. The oil-lubricated rotary screw vacuum pump is therefore well suited as a basic model for the specific requirements of parts cleaning and drying.
Dry screw vacuum technology COBRA NX
The second model features the state-of-the-art screw vacuum technology COBRA NX. These screw vacuum pumps are powerful and robust vacuum generators used where vapors need to be reliably and cleanly evacuated. Thanks to the dry screw technology, no operating media are required in the compression chamber. Condensation and deposits of conveying media and their contamination with oil are thus prevented. High compatibility with liquids and particles is achieved through the asymmetric screw profile and the free gas outlet. This model is particularly suitable for cleaning with aqueous solutions. The low power consumption, minimal maintenance requirements, and low operating costs also speak in favor of the dry screw vacuum technology.
Dry screw vacuum technology COBRA NC
The screw vacuum technology of COBRA NC operates dry, ensuring that no operating media are needed in the compression chamber. Like the COBRA NX model, it is used wherever vapors need to be reliably evacuated without contamination. The free gas outlet and the asymmetric screw profile of this vacuum pump enable high compatibility with liquids and particles, making it ideally suited for use in parts cleaning and drying. If there is a risk of explosive vapors forming during drying, the dry screw vacuum pump COBRA NC is available in an explosion-proof version that complies with EU regulations for explosive atmospheres (ATEX).
The choice of the respective variant depends individually on customer needs, and Busch always develops the ideal vacuum solution together with the customer for use in parts cleaning and drying.
