The standard particles are purposefully manufactured metal chips with precisely defined dimensions. The chips are produced using fixed cutting parameters on micro-machining centers, ensuring consistent morphology and tight tolerances.

In addition to the size classes listed in VDA 19 and ISO 16232, it is possible to produce particles with individual lengths. Since the test particles are genuine chips from a cutting process, they offer a very realistic application spectrum. This ranges from qualifying a cleanliness test to a particle-related determination of threshold values for functionally relevant automotive components. For clear identification, all particles are available with UV indicators.
