Pure environment for delicate parts
Compact cleanroom solutions from Spetec enable particle-free and cost-effective injection molding manufacturing
After initially being used mainly in medical technology, pharmaceuticals, and the chip industry, the purity requirements for the production environment have now also significantly increased in plastics processing. As a result, increasingly particle-free and, depending on the product, even germ-free environments are required for injection molding machines. Whether it involves parts with particularly demanding surfaces or sensitive microstructure components: So-called "clean" environments, which are largely dust-free, have a positive impact on the quality of the produced parts and thus on the economic efficiency of production.
However, it is not always technically feasible or even sensible to convert the entire production into a cleanroom. Usually, it suffices to enclose the relevant injection molding machines either with a compact cleanroom cell or to equip them with a laminar flow module to ensure clean air and, consequently, cleanroom conditions from ISO Class 8 to ISO Class 5.
In the first case, the machine is fully enclosed with a cleanroom cell, so that no particles can enter the actual manufacturing area. This is the preferred option for larger machines. In the second case, a so-called laminar flow module is installed on the injection molding machine, so that only clean air is drawn in, ensuring particle-free conditions. This is often recommended for smaller injection molding systems.
Spetec, as a supplier of cleanroom technology, offers both variants in various configurations but also manufactures customized solutions according to customer requirements. The Erdinger company aims to keep the usability of the devices on the customer side flexible and versatile, which is why all components are modular and can be combined in many ways.
