In food production, lifting and tipping machines are indispensable heavy-duty carriers. Food manufacturers must not only meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in production but are also under constant cost pressure. They are therefore continuously striving to optimize their processes. Typically, lifting and tipping machines are used to load machines and production lines to accelerate workflows and protect workers from heavy loads. In this area, the German manufacturer EAP Lachnit offers a full range of stainless steel lifting and tipping machines. These are versatile and, thanks to their stainless steel construction, meet the high national and European requirements of the food industry. Now, the renowned manufacturer also offers its lifting and tipping machines with a weighing function integrated into the frame.

This is particularly advantageous in the meat processing sector. It eliminates the need for "additional weighing" elsewhere, allowing for the reduction of other devices (scales). The weighing of the loading trolley is done using a load cell, integrated into the loading frame for this purpose.

Weighing recipes and mixtures

With this configuration, for example, different ingredients of a recipe can be weighed and the mixture further processed. In practice, this could be spice mixes for meat processing or a cocoa mix, where milk powder and sugar are filled precisely according to the recipe into the loading trolley and then discharged into a mixer.

The process is simple: after inserting a container into the lifting/tipping device, the contents are weighed. The result can be printed via the weighing terminal and used, among other things, for product control, especially when multiple ingredients of a recipe are processed together. The accuracy can also be selected.

Standard models with modifications

The possibilities are almost limitless. Since hardly any production line in the food industry is identical to another, EAP Lachnit also manufactures special designs. The basic machines and systems are adapted accordingly.

The robust lifting and tipping machine type 300 S is one of these basic models, now available with a weighing function. It was designed for standard loading trolleys but can also be equipped for any containers. The load capacity is up to 350 kilograms (optionally up to 800 kilograms), with containers that can be lifted to a tipping height of up to 2,500 millimeters (also optionally higher).

For handling heavy loads, the lifting and tipping machine type 322 was developed and can be supplemented with a scale. The extremely robust lifting and tipping device features a single or double frame. This allows a container with up to 1,400 liters capacity to be lifted and emptied without modification. The load capacity or lifting force is up to 1,000 kilograms (optionally more), with containers that can be transported to a tipping height of up to 10,000 millimeters.

All stainless steel lifting and tipping machines meet the highest national and European standards of the food industry. The stainless steel surfaces are ground or sandblasted at the factory, making them very easy and efficient to clean.
