How data and artificial intelligence optimize production
Technology Day of the Fraunhofer Big Data Alliance on February 5 and 6, 2019
Insights into the latest Big Data procedures and methods for machine learning in industrial production are provided by Fraunhofer experts together with industry partners in Stuttgart. Registration is still possible until January 20, 2019.
Today, machines and sensors in industry generate large amounts of data. Using advanced Big Data procedures as well as new methods of machine learning and artificial intelligence, this data can be profitably analyzed. This makes it possible to optimize products, improve plant utilization, or minimize downtime through predictive maintenance. Furthermore, intelligent data analysis and information discovery enable the development of entirely new business models.
The 2019 Technology Day of the Fraunhofer Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Alliance, in cooperation with the Industry 4.0 Alliance Baden-Württemberg, offers professionals from industry and science information on the application of current technologies in industrial environments. »The conference program provides a broad overview of practically relevant technologies, digital services, and business models in production-related information processing«, informs Andreas Bildstein, coordinator at the Fraunhofer Alliance. The scientists present applications of digital services and algorithms, as well as their added value, in joint lectures with industry experts. They demonstrate how companies can benefit from Big Data and Industrial Analytics and prepare their business for the digital future.
About the Fraunhofer Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Alliance
More than 30 institutes in the Fraunhofer Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Alliance pool their expertise around the topics of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Fraunhofer experts support companies in implementing Big Data and AI strategies, develop software and data protection-compliant systems, and train specialists and managers as »Data Scientists«. In their field of »Production and Industry 4.0«, scientists develop technologies and solutions that support companies in handling data: from discovering its added value to the technical implementation of data collection, storage, analysis, and monitoring of Big Data.
