On May 1, 2026, Ina Henze-Ludwig took over the sole management of COLANDIS GmbH. With the end of the activity as managing director of the founder, Joachim Ludwig, the next generation now fully assumes the leadership of the family business. For customers and partners, COLANDIS remains a reliable contact person even with the leadership transition.

Responsibility for the next development phase

The handover is the result of a process prepared over many years. Since 2016, Ina Henze-Ludwig has been part of the management and has shaped the development of COLANDIS in key areas. Initially, she took on essential personnel issues and created structural and procedural prerequisites for more predictability, efficiency, and further growth within the company.

With the expansion at the Kahla site, COLANDIS continues this path consistently. As a result, COLANDIS nearly doubles the available space for production and services, from around 2,000 to approximately 3,300 square meters. "Our goal is to significantly expand the service component in the coming years and increase it from today's around 20% to a prospective 50%, while simultaneously stabilizing and further developing the other business areas. It is important to me that COLANDIS continues to grow healthily and that we also specifically strengthen the personnel prerequisites for the company's future," explains Ina Henze-Ludwig.

30 years of COLANDIS: Growth from vision and experience

The management transition falls in a special year: 2026 marks 30 years of successful company history for COLANDIS. Joachim Ludwig founded COLANDIS in 1996 as a civil partnership, which started in a garage. Since then, the company has steadily developed and currently employs about 35 staff members.

Today, COLANDIS operates in a market where purity technology is gaining importance across more and more industries. At the same time, the demand for customized solutions is increasing where standard offerings reach their limits. This is precisely where COLANDIS's strength lies: in precision, reliability, and a clear understanding of customer requirements.

A clear outlook for the future

Joachim Ludwig concluded his activity for COLANDIS on April 30 and looks to the future with a clear perspective: "I am convinced that Ina will successfully continue to lead COLANDIS GmbH. She brings the experience, clarity, and vision for the right decisions to secure the company's future," he says. With the knowledge that COLANDIS is well-positioned, a new chapter begins for him: "I look forward to dedicating myself to new tasks and challenges now," says Joachim Ludwig. In the future, he will work as a freelancer and offer his many years of industry experience as a consultant.

For Ina Henze-Ludwig, the handover is both a responsibility and a perspective for the coming years. With a wink, she describes COLANDIS as her father's "fourth child," which she now gets to accompany as the "big sister." "I am very grateful to my father for the trust he has placed in me with this step. Together with our team, I see us well equipped to master the upcoming challenges and continue the success story of COLANDIS," she says.
