Clinical Diagnostics and Life Science Research - our two business areas

In the field of Clinical Diagnostics, we develop systems in close collaboration with our customers that increase laboratory productivity through process optimization and automation.

We support our customers with a wide range of systems, including laboratory automation systems, systems in Clinical Chemistry and Immunochemistry, devices for cellular analysis, as well as hematological analyzers and flow cytometers for immunological characterization of cells. Additionally, we offer our customers high-performance centrifuges, as well as a range of rapid test kits and system-specific reagents and control materials.

We enable diagnostic laboratories to make their workflows more cost-effective, faster, and more efficient. Our device systems, reagents, and consumables allow for more than 1,200 different laboratory tests. With Beckman Coulter, your lab can quickly deliver precise results to treating physicians, contributing to better patient care.

The products in our Life Science division are an essential part of medical and natural science research. For example, Beckman ultracentrifuges or the Biomek pipetting robots are trademarks of innovation. But our Life Science division also offers a variety of solutions in new innovative fields such as genomics with Next Generation Sequencing or nanotechnology.

Beckman Coulter in Germany

In 2017, Beckman Coulter GmbH celebrated its 65th anniversary in Germany. This anniversary demonstrates the traditionally great importance of the German location. Our company headquarters is in Krefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to all administrative areas (management, marketing, HR, finance, and sales and service administration), reagent production and the German service and application hotline are also based in Krefeld. Across Germany, Beckman Coulter employs about 300 staff members, 200 of whom work in sales and service, and 100 in the company headquarters.

In addition to Beckman Coulter GmbH in Krefeld, there is also a location in Sinsheim, where we distribute and market our manual immunoassays. Beckman Coulter Biomedical GmbH, focusing on "Research & Development," is based in Munich. Additionally, our AutoMate production and the AutoMate training center are located there.
