During the production of medical devices, process-safe manufacturing under cleanroom conditions is required. During insert and removal operations on injection molding tools, a Stäubli RX160 excels in maximum precision. At the same time, rapid movement sequences are required to keep the tool open times as short as possible.

The automotive supplier Key Plastics uses an Engel injection molding cell with a Stäubli robot. The special feature here is that, thanks to its open interface, programming of the six-axis robot is fully integrated into the Engel plant control system.
