Piepenbrock again belongs to Germany's most popular family businesses

Piepenbrock is also among the 150 companies in Germany this year to receive the quality seal "Most Popular Family Business – Award Winner 2023". The seal has been awarded annually by the business magazine FOCUS-MONEY since 2015. For data collection and analysis, it collaborates with DEUTSCHLAND TEST and the consulting and analysis company ServiceValue.

Piepenbrock is a family business that has been successful for over 100 years and is now in its fourth generation of ownership. The fact that the building service provider is also popular among consumers is demonstrated by the renewed award from FOCUS-MONEY. In the nationwide online survey, 128,239 consumer judgments were recorded and evaluated. Participants rated from "excellent" to "poor". The list "Top 1000 – The Largest Family Businesses" by the business media "Die Deutsche Wirtschaft" forms the basis of the survey. Additionally, further criteria are used for filtering. This includes, for example, an annual turnover of at least 35 million euros.

Thinking in generations instead of quarters

As a building service provider, Piepenbrock has been synonymous with quality, competence, and customized solutions for its clients since 1913. The foundation for success is built on core values: continuity, customer satisfaction, and employee development. These hold a significantly higher priority than mere profit maximization. "Economical efficiency is important, after all, we bear a great responsibility towards our employees and clients. But we make our decisions carefully and think long-term – not in quarters, but in generations," says Arnulf Piepenbrock, managing partner of the company group of the same name. His brother Olaf Piepenbrock, also a managing partner, sees this as the general secret of success for the award winners: "The lived values in family businesses are what make the difference. That this is also visible externally through the quality seal and appreciated by consumers makes us very happy and is a nice confirmation of our commitment – and at the same time an incentive to continue on this path." This is also confirmed by Arnulf Piepenbrock: "Whether employees or clients, the person always remains at the center of what we do."
