parts2clean 2013 shines with record numbers of exhibitors and visitors
– 11th parts2clean shows significant growth
– Bilingual professional forum more popular than ever before
Parts2clean is impressively expanding its position as the international leading trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning. At its eleventh edition from October 22 to 24, it achieved record results in all relevant areas. 264 companies from 16 countries attended this year’s event at the Stuttgart exhibition grounds – an increase of around 15 percent compared to the previous year and simultaneously a record number of exhibitors. The exhibition space also reached its best ever result with approximately 6,350 square meters. After three days of the fair, a new record was set with 4,982 trade visitors – nearly 14 percent more than in 2012. They came from 49 countries (39 countries last year). The proportion of international visitors was around 20 percent. The bilingual professional forum also recorded unprecedented interest with 2,181 participants.
“We are very pleased that parts2clean was able to significantly improve in all areas this year and that our growth and internationalization strategy is bearing fruit,” says Olaf Daebler, Managing Director of parts2clean at Deutsche Messe AG. “But numbers are only part of the story; the other is the high satisfaction of exhibitors and visitors. That is just as important to us.” Nearly all of the 264 exhibitors expressed satisfaction, around 20 percent of whom came from abroad.
Qualified trade visitors with high decision-making competence
Contributing to the satisfaction of exhibitors is not only the growth but also the professional qualification and high decision-making competence of visitors. About 90 percent are involved in investment decisions within their companies. Therefore, conversations mainly focus on concrete projects. “Parts2clean has always gone well for us, but this year we achieved a fantastic result with around 20 percent more contacts than in 2012. Many of these are qualified and high-quality new contacts and inquiries, especially regarding dry, partial cleaning and integrated cleaning solutions before assembly,” reports Hans-Jörg Wössner, General Authorized Signatory of acp – advanced clean production GmbH. Similarly, Chuck Sexton, Sales Manager Industrial Products at the American cleaning media manufacturer Kyzen, expressed his enthusiasm: “It was another excellent event for us. We were able to establish very good contacts with users from Germany as well as other countries such as the Czech Republic, Poland, Spain, and even the USA. Additionally, at parts2clean, we meet manufacturers of cleaning systems and can deepen these connections. We will exhibit again in 2014.” Participation in the upcoming parts2clean is also already confirmed for Berthold Relling, Head of Business Field Cleaning Technology Industry/Labor at Elma – Hans Schmidbauer GmbH & Co. KG: “Parts2clean has developed well, and we are very satisfied. Our participation has brought us numerous new contacts, including internationally from England, Russia, Korea, India, the USA, and Brazil. All sectors for which we offer cleaning solutions were represented.” Francesco Sala from Lavo srl, Italy, also reports on a successful trade fair: “Parts2clean is the most important trade fair in this field in Europe. We successfully established contacts with companies from various industries that are not yet our customers.” Gaudenz Groen from Dürr Ecoclean GmbH, Germany, also assigns a special significance to parts2clean: “We are represented at many trade fairs across Europe, but parts2clean is the most important for us. The conversations here are much more detailed and qualified because they concern real upcoming projects. It is also the fair where we introduce innovations such as our EcoCCore this year. Last but not least, participation is substantial for us because we receive market feedback for the development of new products at parts2clean.” Manfred Holzleg from the German Safechem Europe GmbH shares a similar view: “Visitors come with specific tasks and cleaning problems, expecting competent advice and detailed solution proposals. It’s really remarkable how deep the discussions go. That’s why it’s good that providers from all sectors of the industry are represented and connections can be made,” says the general manager of the cleaning media manufacturer. Rudolf Knoth-Bambule from Austrian Knoth Automation GmbH also mentions another aspect: “Participation in parts2clean is not only enriching because of the very good contacts; it also saves me a lot of travel.” Hakan Gülceyük, Sales Manager at Everest Elektromekanik, Turkey, sees additional benefits: “Our primary goal for participating in the trade fair is to acquire new customers and improve sales of our products in Western Europe. We also invite our representatives from other countries and hold meetings here. Additionally, we use the fair to get to know new representatives. Another important point is that we see our competitors and their products here. This gives us firsthand insight into what is happening in the market.”
Bilingual professional forum with record participation
This year, the parts2clean forum was held for the second time with simultaneous translation (German <> English) of the lectures. “The increase in participants to 2,181, nearly 24 percent, demonstrates that knowledge about industrial parts cleaning is in demand internationally,” says Daebler.
Parts2clean 2014 will take place from June 24 to 26 in Stuttgart, for the first time concurrently with the O&S, the international trade fair for surfaces and coatings, LASYS, the international trade fair for laser material processing, and AUTOMOTIVE Expo, a joint event of various automotive trade fairs.
