Lünendonk®-Study places Piepenbrock among the top ten

Piepenbrock improves its ranking compared to the previous year and takes seventh place on the Lünendonk® list "Leading Facility Service Companies in Germany".

Piepenbrock ranks seventh in the current Lünendonk® list 2021 "Leading Facility Service Companies in Germany". This improves the building service provider by two positions compared to the previous year. The study examined a total of 63 companies in the industry.

Piepenbrock recorded a turnover of around 633 million euros in 2020 and increased its growth by more than two percent. In a year full of challenges, marked by the Corona pandemic, the seventh place on the renowned Lünendonk® list still reflects the company's positive development. "We are pleased that despite the special conditions this year, we have achieved significant growth and are ranked among the top ten leading facility service providers," says Arnulf Piepenbrock, Managing Partner of the eponymous corporate group, happily about the award. The Lünendonk® study "Facility Service Companies in Germany" is a ranking of the most revenue-intensive providers of infrastructural and technical building management. Additionally, the study analyzes growth-promoting factors such as integrated, digital, and sustainable services within the industry.

Recruitment as an important measure

The study emphasizes that the facility service industry heavily depends on a structured and well-thought-out personnel search. Whether recruitment measures for administrative, technical, or craft positions: Piepenbrock relies on modern applicant outreach. Through the job board with integrated applicant management system or social media recruiting, applicants become aware of the building service provider. Employees also benefit from training opportunities at the in-house academy with an affiliated technology and cleanroom training center. The 18th Lünendonk® study also sees environmental protection and digitalization as success factors for facility service providers. With its own forest in Rheinshagen and regular tree planting campaigns, Piepenbrock is committed to a positive CO2 balance. Additionally, the company has developed ecological building cleaning, a tool that analyzes cleaning performance on-site with environmentally friendly considerations and awards it with a corresponding seal. Methods for ecological weed control using thermal procedures or the use of reusable trash bags in cleaning underline the sustainability concept of the building service provider. The company also invests in digital solutions that simplify collaboration with customers and processes on-site. The service helpdesk for communication with clients or the promotion of smart services are just a few examples. "The fundamental challenges of our time have not changed: staffing shortages, digitalization, and sustainability remain the key issues whose answers will determine the future of a facility service provider," states the managing partner.
