Company transfer within the engineering family

The engineering firm DITTEL Engineering in Upper Bavaria's Schlehdorf has set the course for the future with a company transfer. The company remains family-owned but is now in younger hands. Florian Dittel, the 39-year-old son of the founder, has been co-owner of the company since July 1, 2020.

Gernod Dittel founded the planning company 28 years ago as a one-man operation and developed it into a renowned service provider in the cleanroom industry. The 63-year-old will continue to oversee the business activities of the now 30-employee engineering firm in the coming years.

The company transfer is a long-term planned step to secure technical and entrepreneurial know-how at the Schlehdorf location. "Ensuring continuity in a timely manner is a signal to customers and employees," says Gernod Dittel. Father and son have been working together since 2007.

DITTEL Engineering offers jobs in the rural region of the Bavarian Oberland with connections to the high-tech industries of our time as well as to research institutes. Experts from all engineering disciplines design so-called cleanrooms at the Schlehdorf site. These are used for research and production of ever higher quality and purity, as well as to protect patients in hospitals. In addition to planning, the service portfolio includes research, consulting, qualification, measurement technology, and project management related to cleanroom technology.

The engineers transfer their high quality standards to employee management, which is characterized by personal responsibility and self-management: Those working at Dittel are integrated into project teams but largely organize their work autonomously. These freedoms enable them to balance family and career and to develop professionally — just like father and son Dittel.
