A new standard for quality

For the production of many products, such as semiconductors, cleanrooms are an essential prerequisite for high quality and product safety, as even the smallest contaminants can damage the final product. To enable the systems to be used in cleanrooms in the future, Rehm Thermal Systems has built a cleanroom at its facility in Dongguan, China, that meets the highest international standards.

For certain industries, such as medical technology, aerospace, or the semiconductor industry, particularly high hygienic requirements apply to the workplace: the concentration of tiny particles (e.g., dust, exhaust gases, or pollen) in the air must not exceed a certain limit. A room that meets these requirements is called a cleanroom. Cleanrooms are classified into special cleanroom classes (purity classes) depending on particle density. Their operation is subject to strict standards: among other things, the furnishings, work equipment, and machinery must also meet the requirements of the cleanroom to prevent contamination damage during production and to achieve high-quality end results.

To ensure that the systems produced are as free of tiny particles as possible for cleanroom use, Rehm Thermal Systems has built a cleanroom at its facility in Dongguan, China. To ensure that it meets the highest international standards, Rehm Thermal Systems commissioned comprehensive tests. These show that the cleanroom fully complies with the standards GB 50472-2008 (CN) and ISO Class 5 (EU) (US old: Class 100).

Thus, the cleanroom is ideally suited for the production of the VisionX Semico, a reflow soldering system for semiconductor manufacturing, to protect the highly complex circuits of semiconductor components from contamination that could affect the functionality of the components.
