75 Years of Training at Bürkert

The promotion of young talents has a long-standing tradition at Bürkert Fluid Control Systems: For more than seven decades, the family-owned company has been training apprentices and actively contributing to the future viability of the Hohenlohe region.

That training holds a special importance at Bürkert is evident when looking at the company's history. Already founder Christian Bürkert believed that a strong company can only be built by investing in people. This attitude continues to shape Bürkert to this day: Since 1951, five years after the company's founding, the family business has been training young people and has been committed to securing skilled workers in the region for 75 years. Dual study programs have complemented the training offerings since 1982. During this time, more than 2,100 apprentices and students have begun their careers at Bürkert. Today, the company offers more than 30 training occupations and study programs.

To support young talent in the best possible way, Bürkert relies on a broadly structured training organization. A team of six training coordinators manages training and dual studies. They are supported by more than 50 training representatives across various departments, who pass on their practical experience to the next generation. Since 2016, the Education Center on the Criesbach campus has provided optimal conditions for training and dual studies at Bürkert.

We offer in-depth insights into different areas, enable exciting projects, and place great importance on good supervision and personal responsibility. Training at Bürkert means: diversity, respect, and perspective,” describe the training representatives their perception.

With its commitment to training, Bürkert has been investing in the future of the company and the Hohenlohe location for decades. Many former apprentices and students have continued their professional paths within the company and now shape the development of the internationally active family business as specialists and managers. A key indicator of how sustainable this support is: 70 percent of all apprentices who have been taken on by Bürkert since 2005 after their training are still part of the company today.

This year, 46 young people are beginning a new chapter in their lives: they are starting their apprenticeships or dual studies at Bürkert Fluid Control Systems in Ingelfingen and at the subsidiaries BDG Testing and Automation GmbH in Amrichshausen and AKM – Anschluss-, Kunststoff- und Montagetechnik GmbH in Blaufelden.
