Camfil opens a new service support center in Schleswig-Holstein

Where progress takes place, external circumstances must keep pace: Camfil, a leading manufacturer of solutions for clean air, announced today the opening of a new service support center. The spacious building is located directly adjacent to the Reinfeld production site, which also houses the company's German headquarters. With this expansion, Camfil is responding to the growing importance of its service business in Germany and creating attractive, modern workplaces for its service employees.

Regarding this, Andreas Klatschow, Managing Director of Camfil Germany, said: "We see ourselves not only as a manufacturer of air filter products and extraction systems but as a full-service partner for our customers. When it comes to the topic of clean air, we are the right contact in any case. We offer everything from a single source, which sets us apart from other providers."

The extensive service portfolio ranges from the professional installation and maintenance of ventilation systems and industrial extraction systems to the qualification of operating theaters in hospitals and cleanrooms of all classes, including highly sensitive processes such as aseptic liquid filling or the production of radiopharmaceuticals, enabling innovative, targeted radiation therapies.

On approximately 600 m2 of usable space, the new support center offers offices for the back-office team, which coordinates nationwide or even European deployments, as well as ample space for state-of-the-art measurement technology. Large gates facilitate loading of the white vans, with which the team travels tens of thousands of kilometers annually, and their sight likely reassures some customers, as they can avoid costly, unplanned downtimes. Overall, the Camfil service team supports several hundred customers in Germany and many neighboring countries.

There are also facilities for internal workshops and regular training sessions. "First-class service is only possible with a highly qualified and motivated team. That’s why I want to provide my employees with optimal working conditions," says Oliver Albrecht, Head of Service Germany, who led the planning and implementation of the project. "We are on a very good path – many of our employees have long tenures, and their combined experience benefits our customers directly."

For the inauguration of the new support center, around 30 service employees from across the country gathered for a multi-day event in Reinfeld. In addition to a tour of the new building, there was an informative mix of lectures, training sessions, and live demonstrations on topics such as operating theater curtain installation or the safe replacement of contaminated filters using the Bag-in/Bag-out technology. With bright sunshine, the outdoor area was also ceremoniously opened at the end of the event with a communal barbecue dinner.
