PAMAS celebrates 20 years of company anniversary
On June 1, 2012, the manufacturing of measuring instruments by PAMAS Particle Measurement and Analysis Systems GmbH celebrated its 20th anniversary. The company develops, manufactures, and sells measuring instruments for particle analysis of liquids and currently employs staff at nine company locations worldwide. Gerhard Schreck attributes the company's success to the continuous expansion of its own expertise and the ongoing exploration of new markets and business areas.
Early on, Managing Director Gerhard Schreck recognized that only through expanding the company's own know-how could it succeed in establishing and maintaining a leading position in the analysis technology segment. "Soon after the company's founding, we therefore focused on development," explains Gerhard Schreck. "Thanks to our in-house development department at our location in Germany, we are now able to closely align our product development with market needs and adapt our measuring devices to new application areas and fields of use. In recent years, we have succeeded in opening up new business sectors where particle measurement had not been previously used."
To offer the best possible measurement technology, PAMAS has specialized its product range over the decades to focus on liquid analysis. Previously, particle counters had also been manufactured for the analysis of gases and solids, which were used in cleanroom technology and grain size analysis. For several years now, PAMAS has exclusively offered particle counters for liquids. In addition to their use in offshore hydraulics, PAMAS's optical measurement instruments are also suitable for analyzing liquids in other areas and can, for example, be used for the control of lubricating oil, water analysis, pharmaceutical applications, filter test stations, and residual dirt analysis of components.
A key factor in the success story of PAMAS GmbH has been its workforce. Many employees have been loyal to the company since its early days and shape the company's image. When the company was founded in June 1992, Managing Director Gerhard Schreck started with three employees. Today, he employs 51 staff at nine locations. At the headquarters in Rutesheim, 30 employees work in the departments of development, production, application technology, service, administration, sales, and marketing. Additionally, 21 employees are based at eight other branches in Belgium, France, Finland, the United Kingdom, Spain, Brazil, the USA, and India.
