Back into the welfare office

The management of MT-Messtechnik GmbH moved to new premises in Puchheim near Munich at the end of 2024. The focus was on improving digital communication capabilities with customers as well as enhancing working conditions for employees.

It is not new that good working conditions contribute to a positive work atmosphere and, consequently, to good work results. However, this "soft" (i.e., hard to measure) factor is rather rarely a topic in the cleanroom environment, which is dominated by the more tangible (i.e., clearly measurable) factors. Where the number of particles and the cleanroom class determine daily work, employee satisfaction is not always a priority.

MT-Messtechnik GmbH is the German representative for LIGHTHOUSE and offers measuring devices for particle counting in cleanrooms and pure liquids, as well as complete cleanroom monitoring systems. A rather consultative matter, complemented by the calibration of customer devices. In the old office spaces in Adelzhausen, certain deficits increasingly became apparent, suggesting a move to more suitable premises. Thus, the two managing directors, Jens Kasobke and Christian Dupier, began searching for something new. For the two, who took over the company founded in 1989 as shareholders in early 2021, it was primarily about the customers and the employees.

Particularly the somewhat "antiquated" data connection in the previous building was a bottleneck. It simply could not keep up with the sharply increased number of online meetings with customers. This hampered communication and sometimes even forced employees to visit customers by car. The management wanted to put an end to this unnecessary burden on employees and the environment, and at the same time find nice spaces for the six-person team. The new office should be not larger and more representative, but more modern, ergonomic, comfortable, and team-oriented.

The new location saves time, fuel, nerves, and CO2.

They found it at Mitterlängstraße 26 in Puchheim, near Munich. This location meets all the requirements of the two bosses: a modern, ultra-fast data connection, bright, friendly rooms, spacious parking facilities, and even a rooftop terrace with a barbecue area for team events. Additionally, the new office offers a real location advantage over Adelzhausen. Now, employees, all of whom live in or near Munich, no longer have to drive many kilometers into the city in the morning and back in the evening. This saves time, fuel, nerves, and CO2. The colleagues now prefer to stay a little longer in the evening to chat until the rush hour subsides, which benefits team cohesion and informal exchange.

Since November 18, 2024, MT-Messtechnik has been "residing" in the new house, and everyone is "super happy." Zoom conferences with customers and business partners run smoothly, the beautiful offices with electrically height-adjustable desks reduce back pain. The mostly open doors and the famous coffee kitchen promote team communication, and the rooftop terrace was inaugurated in 2024 at the Christmas party with a "winter barbecue." Full marks, then.
