– Fire tested according to DIN EN 1021-1 and -2 – for maximum safety.

Sustainability starts with the material

Skintec stands not only for technological innovation – but also for a new responsibility in manufacturing. The covering material is produced with a water-driven foam system that completely replaces the typical halogenated blowing agents.

The ecological benefits at a glance:

– 35% material savings through lower density – fewer resources, less waste.
– About 20–25% CO₂eq savings in production by switching to Skintec with water as an environmentally friendly blowing agent.
– Reduced transport weight – additionally saving emissions.

This material innovation was developed by Bimos itself and is unique and new in the industry. Skintec is produced entirely in-house at the main location in Tieringen – on the Swabian Alb. State-of-the-art manufacturing processes and robot-assisted technologies are used, ensuring consistently high quality and maximum process safety. The production of Skintec exemplifies the company's commitment to combining technological innovation with sustainable responsibility – a true "Made in Germany" product.
