After around two years of construction, the Drive Technology Center (DTC) West of the drive and automation specialist SEW-EURODRIVE will move from the Langenfeld site to a new building in the Haan-Gruiten Technology Park on July 1, 2025.

The move marks a milestone for the family-owned company from Bruchsal, Baden-Württemberg, which has been based in Langenfeld for more than 50 years. "Just as SEW-EURODRIVE as a whole has grown rapidly over the past decades, we have also expanded considerably. Now that we no longer had any capacity for further growth at our previous location, we are delighted to be moving to the Haan-Gruiten Technology Park, where we will have sufficient space for further expansion for many years to come," explains Branch Manager Dennis Staczan.

The new site comprises 13,600 square meters of land with a modern new office building and a 3,800 square meter hall for workshop and warehouse. This offers numerous advantages for customers and the approximately 80 employees: expanded repair capacities, additional application areas for joint projects and spacious training rooms.

The employees who work at DTC West as part of a cooperation with a local workshop for people with disabilities (WfB) will also be integrated at the new location. “We would like to expand this form of inclusion in the future in cooperation with interested sponsors from the region,” emphasizes Dennis Staczan.

SEW-EURODRIVE is also setting a clear example in terms of sustainability with the new location. The building is equipped with a 400 kW peak photovoltaic system and has a modern heat pump/gas hybrid heating system, which is to be operated purely electrically in the future. Despite doubling the space compared to the old site, the company therefore expects energy consumption to remain roughly the same. “With the new DTC West in Haan, we are setting the course for future-oriented development – in the interests of our customers, our employees and the environment,” the branch manager is convinced.
