CCI noTraceX: CE-compliant specialty gloves for the most demanding cleanroom applications
Technically silicone- and ion-reduced, free from DMFa, fingerprint-free, tested and packaged at the highest level
With the new CCI noTraceX gloves, CCI vK GmbH & Co. KG introduces a product innovation specifically developed for use in highly sensitive manufacturing areas such as the semiconductor and microelectronics industry, aerospace, automotive, and many other high-tech sectors.
The gloves are made from a finely knitted white polyamide carrier material, optionally available in standard or ESD versions thanks to embedded carbon fibers. The durable white nitrile coating replaces conventional polyurethane and offers optimized grip, comfort, and excellent resistance to abrasion and chemicals.
DMFa-free Nitrile Coating – For Health and Safety in the Workplace
A particular advantage of the CCI noTraceX gloves lies in the choice of coating:
The used white nitrile coating is completely free of dimethylformamide (DMFa) – a chemical found in many polyurethane-coated gloves and suspected of being harmful to health, especially with frequent skin contact or inadequate ventilation at the workplace.
By choosing DMFa-free materials, CCI actively contributes to promoting workplace health and safety – an aspect often overlooked with conventional PU gloves.
Purity at the Highest Level – With Technical Transparency
A central quality feature of the CCI noTraceX gloves is their exceptionally high surface purity. During manufacturing, the gloves undergo a specially developed multi-stage cleaning process. This minimizes the risk of contaminants such as silicones, ion residues, or fingerprint-forming substances remaining on the surface.
Why "technically reduced" – and not "free from"?
Despite all measures, it is virtually impossible from a physico-chemical perspective to produce gloves that are completely silicone- and ion-free.
There are several reasons:
– Residues from raw materials: The starting materials – e.g., polyamide fibers or nitrile – may contain traces of ions or silicone-containing auxiliaries that are embedded at the molecular level and cannot be completely removed.
– Production environment and machine components: Even in controlled manufacturing processes, microscopic amounts of ions or volatile siloxanes from machines, hoses, seals, or air systems can transfer into the product.
– Limits of analytical detection methods: Many analytical testing methods can only detect residues up to a certain detection limit. Contaminations below this limit are not technically excluded but are practically undetectable.
– Limits instead of zero values: In cleanroom technology and semiconductor manufacturing, the approach is to minimize rather than eliminate completely. The specification "technically silicone- and ion-reduced" aligns with this approach and indicates a maximum reduction within economically and technically justifiable limits.
Quality Assurance and Protection Until the Point of Use
Regular interim inspections during production ensure consistently high quality of the gloves. This is complemented by an elaborate moisture barrier foil packaging with an aluminum coating, which reliably protects the gloves from moisture and contamination – ideal for use in cleanrooms.
Product Variety and Cost-Effectiveness
The gloves are also available with nitrile fingertip coating to enable safe and precise handling of delicate assembly work. In addition to proven properties and high purity standards, CCI noTraceX impresses with an attractive price-performance ratio that sets new standards in the market.
