The tracks are set for the future: New CEO at SÜDPACK

Thorsten Seehars takes over the position of CEO at SÜDPACK effective immediately. He succeeds Erik Bouts, who successfully led the corporate group through the past six years and is now retiring with well-deserved rest.

With this change, the film manufacturer brings in a manager with many years of experience in successfully leading and developing global business fields with technologically demanding products. Due to his previous consulting role, Thorsten Seehars is no stranger in Ochsenhausen. "I am very pleased to assume overall responsibility in a company as traditional and highly innovative as SÜDPACK – and to continue the work of my predecessor, who, with foresight and his consistent focus on 'numbers, data, facts,' has continuously expanded and strengthened our strong market position."

Among Erik Bouts' achievements is the successful restructuring of the entire corporate organization through the introduction of business units to respond even more quickly to customer needs. A second focus was the consistent emphasis on sustainability and research & development by the current managing director of the family business. Today, SÜDPACK is not only a technology leader in its industry but also one of the most innovative and sustainable medium-sized companies in Germany. The committed efforts and outstanding contributions of Erik Bouts were appropriately acknowledged by shareholders and the advisory board during his farewell at the headquarters in Ochsenhausen. Mr. Bouts will remain available as an advisor for SÜDPACK until early 2026.

The Strategy 2030 aims to lay the foundation for the next phase of growth. However, it will not be easy, as Seehars also knows: "In the coming years, we must continue to expect challenging geopolitical and economic conditions. With a focus on the strengths of a family business, our innovative capacity, and the strong commitment of the entire team, we will continue to operate successfully in this demanding market environment."
