FRANK Elektronik GmbH invests in high-end SMT line with ASYS technology

FRANK Elektronik GmbH, an electronics service provider established for over 25 years, has recently invested in a high-precision SMT line with state-of-the-art ASYS technology. With the new production line, the company is strengthening its position in high-value electronics and creating new capacities for sophisticated assemblies.

“With this investment, we have created an additional foothold in high-value electronics,” explains Robert Both, Managing Director of FRANK Elektronik. Together with Alexei Sub, he has driven forward a strategic transformation of the company over the past two years. The new SMT line marks a decisive milestone in this process.

State-of-the-art technology

The investment focuses on a highly automated SMT line equipped with leading ASYS technology. Among other things, the following will be used:

– The modular VEGO handling series, which ensures smooth material flow and maximum flexibility in production,
– the INSIGNUM 6000 XL laser marker, which efficiently and precisely marks large-format circuit boards up to 610 x 610 mm on both sides,
– and state-of-the-art 3D SPI and AOI systems with AI support, which ensure continuous quality monitoring.

In addition, the SERIO 4000 precision printer from EKRA has been integrated, setting new standards in paste printing with its MultiClamp and closed-loop technology. Intelligent iSET control technology also ensures maximum process reliability.

Automation through closed-loop systems

A highlight of the new line is the continuous closed-loop connection between the printing process and SPI data. “The print quality is continuously monitored and automatically adjusted – a decisive factor for maximum process stability,” emphasizes Alexei Sub. Automation reduces manual intervention and increases efficiency in the long term.
