EFAFLEX Safety Day raises awareness of gate security among customers
For the first time, the rapid door manufacturer EFAFLEX organized a Safety Day. This aims to increase safety awareness among customers through various measures. Practical examples illustrate the requirements.
Doors move incredibly quickly from bottom to top and back again, with people and machines in the middle. This is the everyday reality in many halls and industries, demanding high standards of occupational safety.
The first Safety Day of EFAFLEX Door and Safety Systems GmbH & Co. KG on April 3rd in Bruckberg strengthened awareness of safety measures at door installations among customers. The company name is programmatic, as speed and safety are core competencies of the company.
The workshop held in the premises of the world market leader for industrial rapid doors conveyed content in the areas of occupational safety and operator responsibilities.
In the practical part, participants analyzed accident causes at door installations and conducted a measurement of the operating forces of a door system.
"Providing support to make safety at the door greater"
"With this training, we wanted to increase safety awareness among our customers and at the same time provide assistance to improve safety at the door," explains Klaus Manlig, head of the EFAFLEX Sales Academy.
Particularly regarding operator responsibilities, the approximately 50 participants learned a lot of valuable information that can help avoid dangers in case of an emergency. Handling rapid doors requires a special safety consciousness, which was conveyed in the workshop by several instructors.
For occupational safety professionals, the EFAFLEX Safety Day officially counts as a continuing education measure that they must complete annually.
"The Safety Day was also an interesting exchange for us, which repeatedly showed the same challenges in everyday work — regardless of the industry," summarizes Klaus Manlig.
The first EFAFLEX Safety Day was a complete success, and there will definitely be a repeat, because workplace safety saves lives.
