Caverion and MTU Aero Engines AG extend partnership
Caverion Germany is responsible for the technical building management of MTU Aero Engines at the Munich location for another contract period. With this, the two companies are continuing a partnership that has been continuously evolving for over 10 years.
Since January 2025, a service team now consisting of 40 specialists on site manages the technical trades of heating, sanitation, air conditioning, cooling, ventilation, technical gases, building automation, and electrical systems in various buildings for administration, development, production, and assembly on a total area of approximately 400,000 m².
Furthermore, during the new contract period, the companies will continue to work together to achieve the site-specific goals of MTU Aero Engines for reducing greenhouse gases. By 2030, MTU Aero Engines aims to reduce CO2 emissions at its sites by 60 percent compared to the reference year 2019. Caverion conducts regular energy inspections and energy analyses. From these, the experts derive potential savings. Continuous optimization of plant operation also reveals improvement opportunities that can be applied during modernization of existing buildings.
"We trust our partner. And we benefit from the high level of expertise and long-term experience of the service team. Caverion has a deep understanding of the requirements we face in production," explains Paul Koop, Head of Technical Building Management at MTU Aero Engines, justifying the decision to extend the contract. Manfred Simmet, Managing Director of Caverion Germany, adds: "Our employees have extensive expertise in all technical trades and ensure a high quality of our services. This makes us the right partner for the complex challenges at the site in the future."
