World novelty from Blickle: The specialist for wheels and casters introduces a trackless wheel variant of the ALEV series (aluminum wheel body with vulcanized elastomer solid rubber tire) in an antistatic design. The combination of these two properties represents a real innovation in rubber-tired wheels and offers significant advantages in sensitive applications: The wheels reduce the risk of injuries and damage while simultaneously improving cleanliness in operation.

Antistatic wheels and casters are important system components, for example, in medical technology, the electronics and semiconductor industries, the automotive sector, or hospitals. They are used, among other things, on transport trolleys. They prevent painful electrostatic discharges caused by the trolleys themselves or the transported goods and protect sensitive items from damage.

Until now, users of antistatic wheels with solid rubber tires had to rely on black tires. However, these have the disadvantage of leaving unwanted marks on many floors. Especially in industries with high hygiene requirements, this results in high cleaning effort and costs. The Blickle wheel series ALEV now features an antistatic variant with a trackless gray elastomer solid rubber tire. This tire has a maximum dissipation resistance of 10^7 ohms and a hardness of 65° Shore A, and causes no track marks during operation.

The elastomer solid rubber tires are based on a special rubber compound. They are very gentle on floors, vibration-dampening, offer high load capacity, good ride comfort, and are resistant to many aggressive media. Thus, Blickle wheels are suitable for a wide range of applications—especially in sensitive or explosion-protected environments. The new wheel variant is available in diameters of 100, 125, 160, 200, and 250 millimeters.
