Universal Robots expands its sales network in Germany
New integration partners for robotic applications in the German market
The world market leader in collaborative robotics Universal Robots (UR) is expanding its sales network in Germany with four new partners: SCS Robotik GmbH, JDT robotics, PTS Automation GmbH, and Somack GmbH.
"After the peak of the pandemic, we are noticing an increasing demand for robotic applications. To offer our interested parties competent development partners nearby, we have expanded our network in Germany," explains Andrea Alboni, General Manager Western Europe at Universal Robots. "It is very important to us to make the step into automation as easy as possible, especially for small and medium-sized businesses. Experienced system integrators and sales partners on site play a crucial role for us. They are the ones who support our customers daily with their expertise, know-how, and passion for our technology."
Successful machine loading with cobots
SCS Robotik GmbH is convinced of the possibilities of collaborative robotics. The company specializes in machine loading and quality control using industrial image processing. For this, it has developed its own machine loading system. Core elements are a collaborative robot and an innovative, pattern-based loading system. "What you need to learn to do it, you learn by doing. We have already successfully implemented several projects where the long-standing employees of our customers couldn't believe that the handling process could be automated," says Hendrik Storch, Managing Director of SCS Robotic GmbH. "We decided to partner with Universal Robots because Jugard+Künstner GmbH supported us from the beginning, and we have been using UR cobots since our first project. Now, we hope for targeted support in marketing to successfully sell our innovative machine loading system."
Standards in user-friendliness
The also new Certified System Integrator JDT robotics advises and supports its customers in designing systems and aims to enable smaller companies to quickly enter automation. "Through the partnership with Universal Robots, we now have the opportunity to offer our customers cost-effective and easy-to-use collaborative automation solutions. UR cobots set standards in user-friendliness, integration capability, and safety. This provides a significant added value for our customers," says Sebastian Lange, Head of Sales and authorized signatory at JDT robotics.
More flexible workplaces in production
PTS Automation GmbH focuses on customized automation solutions and the design of systems that make workplaces ergonomic and enable more efficient work. "The application areas of the robotic arms fit perfectly with PTS Automation's portfolio. Numerous workplaces and workstation systems are designed each year, and with Universal Robots, we now have a partner whose cobots can be seamlessly integrated exactly there," says Thomas Dahmen, Managing Director of PTS Automation, about the partnership.
Efficient manufacturing with cobots
Somack GmbH is also represented as a new partner in Universal Robots' sales network from now on. The company designs special machines tailored to its customers' requirements and is also active in contract manufacturing. One focus of Somack GmbH is the development of laser marking and laser welding systems. "The collaboration with Universal Robots opens up new markets for us. We have been using robots in our manufacturing for several years and work very efficiently with cobots. At UR, we find a well-known network with a big name and a good reputation," says Sinan Koc, Managing Director of Somack GmbH.
Partner network reflects the diversity of collaborative solutions
With the expansion of its partner network, Universal Robots aims not only to represent the full range of collaborative robotic applications but also to strengthen the production site in Germany. "Many companies are currently suffering from a shortage of skilled workers. To be able to produce reliably even during economic peaks, more and more companies are choosing automation," explains Alboni. "A Cobot is affordable for smaller companies and provides the ideal foundation to keep production lines profitable even with thin staffing. We warmly welcome our new integrators, who will complement the existing expertise perfectly."
