Thomas Lang is responsible for the new Automation department

Thomas Lang has been responsible for the newly created Executive Board department "Automation" at acp systems AG since February 1, 2025.

With the newly created Executive Board department "Automation," acp systems AG is addressing the rapidly increasing importance of this business segment in recent years. Thomas Lang was appointed to this corporate division as a responsible member of the Executive Board effective February 1, 2025.

Customer-specific automation of manufacturing processes, along with technologies for industrial component cleaning with recycled CO2 and micro-dosing, are among the core competencies of acp systems AG. Through innovative automation solutions, including those for electronics and battery cell manufacturing, medical and microtechnology, energy technology, and consumer electronics, this business field of the internationally active company has grown significantly in recent years. This development is reflected in the newly established "Automation" division of the Executive Board, for which Thomas Lang was appointed effective February 1, 2025. It consolidates all resources from the areas of automated handling and assembly, robotics, digitalization, software, inspection, and testing.

The global market for automated manufacturing solutions has a considerable volume with interesting growth rates," said Fabian Schmutz, Chairman of the Board of acp systems AG. "With his expertise and experience, Thomas Lang is an ideal fit for this division. He will significantly contribute to sharpening our company's profile as an automation specialist and strengthening the automation business field."

Thomas Lang brings more than 25 years of experience in the automation industry. During this time, he has held leadership roles at various companies. With Thomas Lang, the Board of acp systems AG now comprises three members. These also include Dr.-Ing. Günther Schmauz, who is responsible for the purity technology division, and Dr. rer. pol. Fabian Schmutz as Chairman of the Board.
