The latest HMI system for the highest demands in cleanroom and GMP environments: The PILOT

Made from high-quality stainless steel 1.4404/316L and electropolished to a mirror finish, the PILOT 3rd Gen combines aesthetics and durability.

With the new PILOT, Systec & Solutions presents the latest development in HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces). As an interface between humans and machines, the PILOT, specially developed for the pharmaceutical industry, is ideally integrated for work in cleanroom laboratories and GMP environments – hygienic, easy to operate, and ergonomically adapted.

The third-generation PILOT features a new, compact, frameless, and modern design. The screen is larger, slimmer, and smoother than the previous version. The housing is made of high-quality, electropolished stainless steel and complies with the IP67/NEMA 6 protection class. The mirror-smooth finish allows for optimal hygiene. It is thus even better adapted to the germ- and dust-free requirements in cleanroom laboratories. The PILOT 318 has an 18.5-inch display, while the PILOT 324 is slightly larger with a 23.8-inch display. Capacitive function buttons such as Power ON/OFF, touchscreen lock, a function and cleaning mode, as well as a customizable button, are integrated into the screen.

A special highlight of the perfected product line is the new, extremely flat keyboards. Based on ergonomic studies, Systec & Solutions focused on improved handling efficiency during the redesign. The keyboards are now equipped with innovative ergonomic handles. This allows the TROLLEYS for screens and keyboards to be easily moved during operation.

Customers can choose between a glass keyboard (KEYBOARD NG) or a membrane keyboard (KEYBOARD NF). Both versions feature a large separate touchpad with multitouch functionality and four individually configurable function keys, which can be programmed without additional software. The patented Click Hinge system allows for simple and quick separation of the keyboard from the HMI. Additionally, the membrane keyboard features a new Keylock function or cleaning mode. Optional RFID readers with different configurations can be integrated.

The optimized PILOT contains technology of the latest generation. The Windows 11 operating system is pre-configured. The various model packages such as ENDPOINT, ALLROUND, PERFORMANCE, and MONITOR from Systec & Solutions are, of course, still selectable.

A special feature of the PILOT 3rd Gen is its backward compatibility with all existing device carriers from Systec & Solutions. This facilitates integration into existing systems. Furthermore, accessories can be connected via two M32 ports on the sides of the HMI, allowing for further customization.

Upon request, the devices can also be equipped with an intended ATEX/IECEx Zone 2/22 certification and HazLoc Class 1 (2) / DIV 2 to ensure maximum safety in explosion-prone environments.
