Traditionally, Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences (HS) invites prospective students and, of course, the general public to its Open Campus Day in the spring. This year, on Saturday, April 5th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the three campuses in Kaiserslautern, Pirmasens, and Zweibrücken will showcase their degree programs, research activities, and further education opportunities live and with plenty of campus flair. The event provides prospective students with all the information needed to make an informed decision about their studies and offers the perfect opportunity to get a close-up view of the university and study conditions from various perspectives. Of course, other guests can also enjoy numerous informative and exciting program points and top-notch entertainment.

In Kaiserslautern, the departments of Applied Engineering Sciences and Building and Design are represented, jointly presenting at the new HS Campus Kammgarn. At the Pirmasens campus, the Department of Applied Logistics and Polymer Sciences offers its event program, and in Zweibrücken, the Departments of Business Administration as well as Computer Science and Microsystems Technology invite visitors to the Open Campus Day.

During the event, the features and prospects of all around 80 future-oriented and practice-oriented bachelor’s, master’s, and continuing education programs at the university will be explained through vivid presentations and can be deepened in personal conversations with faculty representatives, students, and alumni. Additionally, prospective students will learn about the support and mentoring services available during their studies or how a study program can be particularly practical, e.g., dual, integrated training, or part-time studies. Numerous partner companies and institutions also provide advice on this on-site.

Complementing the comprehensive information and advisory program, there will be lectures, experiments, and workshops to participate in, as well as talks on specific fields or thematic tours through laboratories, workshops, and university facilities, providing concrete insights into the content and methods of various disciplines. Program highlights promise excitement, entertainment, and scientific rigor: For example, in Kaiserslautern, visitors can experience exciting experiments and demonstrations in the newly equipped laboratories, the Virtual Design LAB, Tiny House, and KaRaT, as well as extraordinary exhibitions of student work; Pirmasens features model worlds, VR, and robotics in logistics, along with a workshop on fabric dyeing, and in Zweibrücken, visitors can view driving simulators, biosignal laboratories, and cleanrooms or attend the negotiation "Hansel and Gretel in Court." Not least, the diverse additional activities and the supporting program with a variety of musical, artistic, and culinary offerings will create genuine campus atmosphere and a great ambiance. The street festival in Kaiserslautern offers colorful variety with many attractions for young and old; in Pirmasens, among other things, a sporty campus run and a comedy lecture on AI in logistics are organized, and at the Zweibrücken campus, guests can look forward to activities and special events such as the escape room "CodeBreaker Quest," the Insta-Challenge, or the free meal for all students in the cafeteria.
