The Europe-wide textile service provider Mewa has expanded its B2B portfolio to include comprehensive solutions in the cleanroom segment. The new service package includes the provision of cleanroom clothing for ISO classes 5 to 8 as well as GMP classes B to D, including maintenance and servicing. Additionally, the textile specialist offers cleanroom cleaning, consulting, and training. This way, Mewa specifically targets companies with high cleanroom standards and supports them in optimizing their processes.

The complete all-around service for cleanroom processes was presented by Mewa for the first time at the Lounges 2025 trade fair in Karlsruhe. Visitors to the fair could learn about the advantages and possibilities of the expanded offering on-site.

Decontamination of Production Environments

When it comes to decontamination of rooms and production environments, Mewa can draw on the expertise of the cleanroom specialist Mikroclean. Mikroclean was founded in 2012 by the cleanroom expert Timo Speck and has been a 100 percent subsidiary of the Mewa Group for a year. The company is a leader in cleanroom cleaning and manages more than 100 cleanrooms in industry, life sciences, and microelectronics.

Standards according to DIN EN ISO 14644

With the new specialized services, Mewa is responding to the increasing demand in the cleanroom segment. The cleanroom clothing is collected from the customer after use, brought up to cleanroom standards through a multi-stage, certified washing and sterilization process, and protected from microbiological and particulate contamination before being returned. The washing and care processes meet all requirements according to DIN EN ISO 14644 for ISO class 5 and GMP class B. Regular ESD batch testing and spot checks according to the Helmke drum test (IEST-RP-CC003.3) document the required particle-free condition.

Cleanroom Collection in All-Inclusive Service

The Mewa Cleanroom clothing consists of a polyester-carbon blend (99% polyester and 1% carbon fibers) with low weight (105 to 125 g/m²) and high wearing comfort. The clothing is certified for cleanroom classes ISO 5 to 8 and GMP B to D, making it suitable for cleanroom operators in highly sensitive areas such as microelectronics, pharmaceutical industry, as well as medical or semiconductor technology.

Mewa's all-inclusive service for cleanroom processes is offered for the entire DACH region.
