Learning by doing: Three companies pool their expertise in an experiential workshop and let visitors experience cleanroom technology up close
Cleanroom Experience Workshop (March 8, 2018 in Mengen)
Especially in cleanrooms for medical technology, it is crucial that the increasingly complex systems and components are precisely coordinated with each other. Accordingly, the requirements for planning and designing these rooms are also very high. To give interested cleanroom, quality assurance officers, production managers, and cleanroom staff the opportunity to learn about modern technology and new procedures in this field, the three companies bc-technology GmbH, ProMediPac, Medical Packaging Technology GmbH/OWB-Group GmbH, and Medical Mountains AG are conducting a one-day cleanroom experience workshop. bc-technology is a manufacturer of innovative cleanroom systems; ProMediPac specializes in the assembly and packaging of medical and pharmaceutical products in cleanrooms of class C and D according to EU-GMP guidelines. Medical Mountains is a network of various medical technology companies that strengthens the international competitiveness, especially of local companies in the field of medical technology.
During this event, participants will not only learn about cleanroom technology but also experience practical instructions and exercises on correct behavior in a cleanroom on site. How exactly cleanroom technology, cleanroom discipline, cleaning, and clothing work together will be demonstrated in practice. The workshop will take place on March 8, 2018, in the cleanroom environment of ProMediPac in Mengen. The speakers Markus Huber (bc-technology) and Elke Weber and Markus Bix (ProMediPac) will also focus particularly on contamination in the cleanroom and the proper handling of possible sources of error. Measurement systems for particles – airflow – pressure difference – recovery time will also be demonstrated.
The participants actively shape the workshop themselves – for this purpose, practical exercises around the topic of personnel entry into the cleanroom are offered and carried out in a practical manner at specially equipped stations. Additionally, possible packaging solutions for products manufactured in the cleanroom will also be discussed. Prior knowledge in these areas is not required.
