Lünendonk® list ranks Piepenbrock in sixth place

In the current Lünendonk® List 2023 "Leading Facility Service Companies in Germany," Piepenbrock ranks sixth. With a revenue increase of 10.2 percent, the family-owned company has improved its position from seventh place last year.

Piepenbrock is again among the top ten of the Lünendonk® List "Leading Facility Service Companies in Germany." In 2022, the family business achieved a revenue of 779.5 million euros – moving one place up in the ranking. Personnel remains an important issue and continues to drive Piepenbrock: "The increase in the industry’s minimum wage for cleaning staff in October 2022 was an important signal to prevent further worsening of the labor shortage. Nevertheless, it remains challenging – we need to meet the changes in the working world with new concepts and further enhance our attractiveness as an employer," says Arnulf Piepenbrock, managing partner of the company group of the same name. "We are already working on this. Among other things, with our concept for cleaning during operational hours. But this can only succeed if we convince our clients to go new ways with us."

The signs continue to point to growth

The 20th Lünendonk® List and the accompanying study show the market changes of the 25 leading facility service companies in Germany following the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, these companies grew by an average of 9.3 percent. Success factors for growth, according to Lünendonk, include acquisitions, energy savings, sustainability, and adapting to new working environments. The industry is also driven by personnel recruitment – the number of employees at listed companies increased by 2.4 percent in 2022.
