Identify causes, take appropriate measures, avoid dangers

The one-day event on December 3, 2020, at the Nürtingen K3N is divided into six thematic areas. The opening session is titled "A Microbiome and How to Live with It." It provides fundamental information about the biological microcosm within companies, highlights possible causes, and presents solutions. The lectures in the next block inform about current administrative frameworks, for example regarding health protection for employees, and offer assistance in fulfilling these requirements. The following four sessions focus on targeted control of microorganisms at problem sites. These include the areas of fresh and process water, degreasing systems, coolant systems, and painting systems (e.g., electrostatic dipping painting), where water-based paints are processed.

With this broad program, the conference targets responsible persons and employees from plant and operations management, environmental and process engineering, occupational safety, internal analytics, company laboratories, and quality assurance across various industries. The lectures, each followed by Q&A sessions, enable participants to share their specific issues and leave with ideas for solutions to their own microbiological challenges.
