Excellent: ILKAZELL Zwickau receives the Grand Prize of Medium-Sized Businesses

At the last weekend of August 2019, ILKAZELL Insulation Technology GmbH Zwickau was awarded the Great Award of the Mittelstand by the Oskar-Patzelt Foundation. The manufacturer of cooling and deep-freeze cells, cleanroom systems, and insulation chambers for environmental simulations received the award among other things for its diverse product range, high customer orientation, product quality, and a very high degree of digitalization. Equally important to the jury were the employee-friendly design of the company, long-term business relationships based on clear and open communication, the company's growth rates, and its strong engagement in cultural and social areas in the region.

Under the motto "Sustainable Business," this year's Mittelstand Award of the Oskar-Patzelt Foundation was presented last Saturday in Dresden. In the presence of Prof. Dr. Armin Willingmann, Minister for Economy, Science, and Digitalization of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Dr. Bertram Dressel, President of the Federal Association of German Innovation, Technology, and Startup Centers e.V., Hans-Jürgen Friedrich, Board Member of KFM Deutsche Mittelstand AG, companies were honored for sustainable business practices and their outstanding contribution to society. The foundation's laudation stated, among other things: "The German Mittelstand is a guarantee of stability and trust. The awarded companies do excellent work for society."

"That ILKAZELL was awarded the Great Award of the Mittelstand made the employees and management very happy," said Gert Kehle, Managing Director of ILKAZELL in Zwickau. "Being nominated for this award is already a great honor, which we have received eight times since 2012. Our 110 employees and seven apprentices are highly motivated and face the challenges of insulation and cleanroom technology every day anew. Many thanks to the staff and our partners. Today, the award motivates us to continue advancing in Saxony and to continue working sustainably for the region."

The kick-off for the four award galas of the Oskar-Patzelt Foundation as part of the 25th competition for the "Great Award of the Mittelstand 2019" for the competition regions Berlin/Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt took place on August 31, 2019, at the Dresden Hotel Maritim, with more than 400 entrepreneurs and numerous invited guests.

At the event, the boards of the Oskar-Patzelt Foundation, Dr. Helfried Schmidt and Petra Tröger, presented the coveted "Award Trophy" to Mr. Gert Kehle, Managing Director of ILKAZELL, and 10 other companies from the four competition regions.
