Economically attractive and award-winning injection molding machines to increase productivity
– Applications for automotive, medical, and packaging
– Growing popularity of Tederic ‘NEO series’ in Europe
– PlastiVation Machinery represented at Tederic booth
Tederic Machinery presented for the first time at K 2022 the economically attractive and reliable injection molding series ‘NEO series’, which saw increasing popularity among European plastics processors in 2022. Three injection molding machines produce applications for the automotive, medical, and packaging industries. As the official sales representative for Germany, the startup PlastiVation Machinery GmbH showcased its products at Tederic’s booth.
K 2022: Premiere for Tederic ‘NEO series’ and for PlastiVation
“We look forward to the next premiere of the Tederic ‘NEO series’ in Germany. It will be shown for the first time at the plastics trade fair K,” said Bengt Schmidt, founder and CEO of PlastiVation Machinery GmbH. The highlight was the multi-component injection molding machine NEO·M1120s, which has already received an ‘Industry-Innovation-Award’ in Asia. Other exhibits include the electric injection molding machine NEO·E208c and the universal toggle injection molding machine NEO·T160. “PlastiVation will also celebrate its premiere at K 2022 as a startup in machinery manufacturing and as the official sales representative of Tederic in Germany, providing personal consultation to customers, business partners, and industry visitors at the Tederic booth in Hall 15,” Schmidt added.
Tederic ‘NEO series’: Increasing popularity among plastics processors in Europe
This year, the Tederic ‘NEO series’ has seen growing popularity among European plastics processors. They can produce their plastic products efficiently and with high quality using the economically attractive and reliable production solutions, thereby increasing their productivity. “The four injection molding series of the Tederic ‘NEO series’ offer the right performance characteristics for numerous injection molding applications: flexible, functional, and easy to operate. All of this is cost-effective, stable, and reliable,” emphasized Dr. Daniel Ammer, Vice President R&D. At K 2022, injection molding machines from the NEO·M, NEO·E, and NEO·T series were on display in production mode.
NEO·M1120s: Multi-component injection molding machine produces high-gloss B-pillar
Among the three exhibits, the multi-component injection molding machine NEO·M1120s/e1700c e1100c stood out, which has already received an ‘Industry-Innovation-Award’ in Asia. Using the Coinsure™ process, it produces a high-gloss B-pillar for automotive applications with opposing injection units, a horizontal turntable, and two electric injection units. The positional accuracy of the beams is up to ±0.01 mm, ensuring high dimensional accuracy of the parts. The position and force of each beam are regulated independently. The reduced internal mold pressure improves optical properties and meets the strict requirements for optical parts. Energy losses and manufacturing costs are also reduced. The solution produced at K 2022 with ABS and PMMA weighs 220 grams and is 40% lighter than glass. The cycle time is approximately 85 seconds.
NEO·E208c: Pipette production on powerful electric toggle injection molding machine
Using the powerful electric toggle injection molding machine NEO·E208c/e620h with integrated servo-hydraulics, pipettes for medical applications are produced with a clamping force of 208 tons. The cycle time with the 48-cavity tool is seven seconds. The weight of the pipettes made from polypropylene (PP) is 0.32 grams. A cleanroom production according to ISO Class 8 (10w) is guaranteed. The high-resolution control system of the NEO·E208c is ideal for highly precise multi-cavity tools. The high shot weight consistency of 0.1% ensures uniform product dimensions and meets the requirements for the production of medical parts in Europe. The NEO·E208c/e620h is equipped with a Tederic linear robot.
NEO·T160: Universal toggle injection molding machine produces 100% biodegradable plates
The high-quality universal toggle injection molding machine NEO·T160/i600 produces, with a Tederic linear robot as a packaging application and a clamping force of 160 tons, a 100% biodegradable plate. The cycle time for a plate weighing 158 grams is 68 seconds. The plates have a temperature threshold of 100°C, which solves the problem of poor heat resistance of PLA materials. The material is fully biodegradable and meets all requirements for use in the food industry (GB/T, EN, ASTM, and FDA standards).
