Dry heat sterilization and depyrogenation

Hot air sterilizers are primarily used for sterilizing and depyrogenating glass and metal products such as ampoules, injection and infusion bottles, as well as production equipment. Another area of application is the heat treatment of pharmaceutical products such as granulates, powders, and liquids.

Vötsch Industrietechnik in Reiskirchen has developed a new generation of hot air sterilizers in GMP/FDA-compliant design. The sterilizers are equipped with the new control and regulation system S!MPAC*. Additionally, the doors are user-friendly, featuring automatic door closing and integrated door locking. The interior housings are GMP-compliant, made from electropolished stainless steel, making them easier to clean.

For the sterilization of thermostable materials, different versions are available in 11 sizes with a usable volume between 340 and 3,125 liters. Cleanroom class 100 and 10,000 in GMP/FDA-compliant design.

The sterilizers of the VHS series are designed to meet the requirements of cleanroom classes ISO 7, according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1. Depending on the size of the sterilization chamber, VHS sterilizers can accommodate 4 to 12 sterilization units (standard StE). In addition to using carts, VHS sterilizers allow flexible loading and unloading with supply carts.

By using absolute filters (HEPA) in the recirculation airflow, the sterilization chambers of the VHSF series meet the requirements of cleanroom class ISO 5, according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1. The filters enable safe sterilization under cleanroom conditions. This applies to the entire sterilization cycle at temperatures up to 230°C or 350°C.
