SMC Germany stands for technological excellence, customer proximity, and continuous development. The new campus with the expanded German Technical Center (GTC) and the Industrial Application Center (IAC) makes these values visible: they become the central contact point for customers from various industries who want to work together with SMC on individual application solutions and innovative concepts.

A special feature of the SMC Campus is its integration into the global network of SMC Technology Centers. In close collaboration with the Japan Technical Center (JTC) and other international locations, tailored solutions are developed with short communication channels, rapid development cycles, and a deep understanding of local requirements.

Furthermore, the campus is a central part of the global Business Continuity Plan (BCP). This ensures that SMC maintains stable supply chains, competent consulting, and quick response times even in challenging times.

Investment in the Future

The construction of the SMC Campus is part of a comprehensive global investment strategy: around 50 million euros are invested in the new project, and since 2023, SMC Germany has invested approximately 100 million euros in the site – with a clear focus on the needs of customers both domestically and worldwide. The funds are allocated to modern infrastructure, technical development, digitalization, and expanding customer support.

On an area of approximately 32,700 square meters, a modern innovation and competence center is being built with interactive showrooms and live demonstrations that provide practical insights into technologies. This is complemented by spaces for co-creation, training, and workshops where experts, partners, and educational institutions can jointly generate new impulses with SMC. This not only creates the best conditions for customer projects but also strengthens the regional infrastructure and positions SMC as an attractive employer in the region.

Strong Local Partnership

The next milestone is the ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony in September 2025, marking the official start of the construction phase.
