Not only since the beginning of the Corona pandemic have the two companies sensed clear signals of increasing dynamism in the European pharmaceutical manufacturing market. Whether packaging lines, active ingredient production, health and life science products, or even high-end cosmetic lines, they are technically upgrading their production lines. The market dynamics have now become clearly visible due to the Corona pandemic. It is intentional to strengthen the production site in Europe, but it has also become very clear how high the complexity of pharmaceutical production and the approval process for an active ingredient are. Securing a broad basic supply for test and vaccine products is a mammoth task. In this regard, EnviroFALK PharmaWaterSystems can contribute significantly to technical equipment with its broad pharmaceutical water program. The portfolio is complemented by additional technical solutions from the EnviroWaterGroup and the specially created PharmaBoard.

Letzner GmbH is established across Europe as a pure pharmaceutical water specialist. Werner GmbH has also built up a significant market share in the DACH region with pharmaceutical water systems, ultimately leading the company successfully into the merger process through expertise in the field of REINSTWATER & PROCESS WATER in high-purity applications. Werner has particularly convinced the microelectronics industry with process water systems. The company scores here with customer-specific engineering solutions, which have also led to patent applications (APWS - Antistatic Pure Water Systems – patented process for producing highly dosed CO2-enriched pure water to prevent electrostatic charging during dicing (separating microchips from wafers)).

For over 40 years, Werner has supplied high-purity polishing systems in application-appropriate and customer-specific designs with capacities up to 20 m3/h. The polishers of these high-purity systems with volumes up to 600 liters are exclusively filled with high-quality semiconductor-grade pure resins. Additional scavengers with TOC adsorbers ensure the lowest organic content in the pure water, which can be reduced to < 0.5 ppb TOC through additional UV oxidation. Materials and media-contacting components are also individually tailored to customer-specific requirements: basic systems with PP piping or advanced systems in PVDF-HP piping (IR Plus® or WNF®). Ultimately, however, it always results in high-purity PROCESS WATER: ultra-low concentrations of dissolved ions (> 18.2 MegOhm), low TOC (< 0.5 ppb), particle-free (< 0.05 µm), and cations and anions in the lowest ppt range (< 5 ppt).

The company currently employs almost 130 staff members and has a history of 47 years (Werner) and 30 years (LETZNER).
