CAITRON introduces new cleanroom tablets of the CT13S10 series
IP69 and GMP compliant
CAITRON expands its cleanroom portfolio with tablet PCs of the CT13S10 series for companies in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The CT13S10 series features lightweight stainless steel cases, integrated card readers, comprehensive camera functionality, and protection against deep discharge. CAITRON sets new standards for mobile Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) in hygiene-sensitive environments.
The CT13S10 series is technically based on Microsoft's Surface Pro 10 tablet. The devices are dust- and water-resistant according to IP69 and meet the high standards for GMP production areas. This combines Windows PC functionality with the advantages of mobile devices and is ideally suited for a variety of industrial cleanroom applications.
“The CT13S10 series is the result of our many years of practical experience in cleanroom environments of the pharmaceutical and chemical industries and fully meets the requirements for mobile equipment in these settings,” says Andreas Hirt, Managing Director of CAITRON GmbH.
Protection against deep discharge, RFID card reader, and full camera functionality
The CT13S10 series features a cleanroom-compatible Surface Connect port for the V4A stainless steel case. CAITRON thus addresses the risk of deep discharges, which cannot be remedied with a conventional USB-C connector and may require costly and extensive device maintenance outside the facility. Thanks to the cleanroom-compatible Surface Connect connector, the tablets can be easily and independently recharged on-site in case of a deep discharge.
Furthermore, the tablets of the CT13S10 series boast an integrated RFID card reader, an innovative charging cradle, and unrestricted camera functionality. The new charging cradle eliminates the tedious removal of protective caps. At the same time, CAITRON has designed the device so that users can utilize both the integrated RFID reader and the front and rear cameras without restrictions despite the stainless steel casing. The CT13S10 series is therefore ideally suited for high-resolution image and video documentation, such as sampling.
Numerous input and ergonomic options
An especially practical feature is the optional stainless steel carrying handle for the CT13S10 series case. This makes transporting the device from one workstation to another particularly comfortable. The tablets can be operated both with cleanroom gloves and with a stylus. Additionally, they can be coupled with peripheral systems such as keyboards, mice, or barcode scanners. As supplementary components, special wall mounts and docks are available.
The V4A stainless steel casing of the CT13S10 series tablets is fully enclosed, free of edges and dead spaces, and resistant to industry-standard cleaning and disinfectant agents. This ensures efficient cleaning over many charging cycles. Data transfer occurs directly via the USB-C port, which is secured with a loss-proof protective cap.
Optional services
For companies with Microsoft enterprise agreements, there is the possibility to procure the Surface Pro tablets independently under their agreed favorable framework contract conditions. CAITRON then handles their conversion for cleanroom use.
