Ziehl-Abegg for the third consecutive time "Best Managed Company"

The Ziehl-Abegg SE is once again among Germany's best-managed medium-sized companies. The industrial company was awarded the "Best Managed Companies Award 2026" for the third consecutive time. The award is presented by Deloitte Private in collaboration with the Federal Association of German Industry (BDI), the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and UBS.

The award ceremony took place at the Frankfurt Palmengarten Society House. A total of 38 companies nationwide were honored for demonstrating exemplary corporate management.

In the selection process, an independent jury composed of representatives from science, business, and media evaluates areas including strategy, innovation capacity, productivity, corporate culture, as well as governance and finance.

"The repeated recognition affirms our path. Technology, internationality, and economic success are important – but what truly matters are the people within the company," says Joachim Ley, CEO of Ziehl-Abegg SE. "Especially in times of great change, guidance, reliability, and teams that take responsibility are essential."

Ziehl-Abegg employs 5,800 people worldwide and is internationally one of the leading companies in air, control, and drive technology. Besides technological developments, the company also explores new avenues in communication, employer branding, and employee recruitment. Ziehl-Abegg attracts attention through activities on TikTok, its own e-sports formats, as well as Social Media Days and the AI Communication Award.

Ziehl-Abegg is making strides with technological innovations in energy efficiency and sustainability. These include the bionic design of modern fans and a newly developed ferrite-based elevator motor that does not require rare earth elements. The innovation was presented at Hannover Messe 2026 and nominated for the Hermes Award. The motor achieves the same performance as previous solutions with neodymium magnets but significantly reduces dependence on critical raw materials.

The "Best Managed Companies Award" was founded in the 1990s by Deloitte in Canada and is now awarded in more than 45 countries. Its goal is to highlight and connect successfully managed medium-sized and family-run businesses internationally.
