Watson-Marlow expands selection of pureSu single-use hose assemblies for bioprocess applications

The Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) is expanding its range of puresu® Single-Use Hose Assemblies. puresu combines a wide selection of hoses with a variety of safe and easy-to-install Single-Use components into complete, customer-configurable assemblies. The expanded product line offers customers for the first time a choice among three different puresu versions: Sterile (with Sterility Assurance Level), Gamma-irradiated, or Non-irradiated. puresu hose assemblies are suitable for all process steps in biopharmaceuticals and personalized medicine, such as gene therapies.

The Watson-Marlow puresu hose assemblies provide a unique solution for the challenges of the bioprocessing industry. They enable the configuration of controlled, efficient, and reliable Single-Use hose sets that simplify validation processes. Thanks to the open-architecture design, users can assemble their individual hose assembly from the Single-Use components according to their process requirements.

With the introduction of sterile puresu versions, Watson-Marlow now offers its puresu hose assemblies in three different categories, each with its own advantages: Sterile puresu are the optimal solution for critical fluid path applications in the bioprocess industry and for customers seeking to minimize contamination risks. Gamma-irradiated puresu are especially suitable for users aiming to reduce microbial load (bioburden). Non-irradiated puresu hose assemblies are ideal for process development applications. To ensure reliable and flexible supply, Watson-Marlow offers comprehensive, supplementary support services.

Advantages of puresu Single-Use Assemblies:

- Three different versions: Sterile (Sterility Assurance Level SAL 10-6), Gamma-irradiated (25kGy – 45kGy), or Non-irradiated
- Sterile assemblies with an SAL 10-6 have a sterile shelf life of two years. They are validated in accordance with ANSI/AAMI/ISO 11137 using the VDmax25 method
