From September 17 to 19, the expert team of Vink Chemicals will present their product portfolio in the fields of Technical Biocides and Specialty Chemicals at the Lubricant Expo Europe 2024 in Düsseldorf. A key focus is the re-conservation of coolant lubricants used in the metalworking industry. Sangita Singh, Head of Product Development and Technical Support Biocides at Vink Chemicals, will also be a speaker in the conference program of the trade fair.

Highlights from Vink Chemicals' unique product portfolio include, among others, the biocide product for coolant lubricants Vinkocide® BB WM, the cleaner for circulation systems and production plants grotanol® FF 1 N, as well as the multifunctional active ingredient Vinkoflame® TOF – a stabilizing and flame-retardant plasticizer based on the active ingredient Trioctylphosphat, suitable for various industrial applications.

Re-conservation of Coolant Lubricants

In industrial manufacturing, coolant emulsions are indispensable for the operation of modern machine tools. These special fluids must be protected from mold or bacterial growth for as long as possible, but regulations increasingly restrict the choice of suitable active ingredients. Many manufacturers of coolant concentrates now try to avoid using biocides – making effective re-conservation (tankside treatment) even more important.

This is where the unique Vinkocide® BB WM comes into play: It uses the active ingredient Butylbenzisothiazolinon (BBIT 20%), is non-reactive with metals, and remains application-stable over a wide pH range of 7–12 and at high temperatures for a long time. Vinkocide® BB WM is highly effective against fungi and yeasts at lower dosages and has excellent water miscibility at the appropriate application concentration.

Curative Treatment and Multi-purpose Agents for Industry

The cleaner grotanol® FF 1 N can be directly added to water-mixed coolant to clean the system – usually even without interrupting work. In addition to cleaning, which is completed within 24 hours at the latest, the product also provides microbiological sanitation. It ensures thorough hygiene in containers of all kinds, pipelines, waste disposal systems, and production facilities.

With Vinkoflame® TOF, a halogen-free plasticizer, Vink Chemicals offers a multifunctional active ingredient suitable for various industrial applications. As an aqueous polymer dispersion, Vinkoflame® TOF serves as a binder for pigment pastes, as an additive for cutting oils and release agents for metalworking, as well as a solvent, e.g., for the production of hydrogen peroxide. The versatile product also has flame-retardant properties and is used as a flame retardant for plastics.

Sangita Singh Speaker at the Conference Program

Vink Chemicals is also represented in the trade fair's conference program: Sangita Singh, Head of Product Development and Technical Support, Biocides and Industrial Hygiene, will give a technical lecture on the third day of the conference. She will be a panelist in a session titled “Conservation: Trends and Challenges of Next-Generation Metalworking Fluids.” Sangita Singh states: “Our core topics are sustainability, innovation in chemical solutions, and safety standards.
